New Guides Released Monthly
These Riding Guides are designed to bring intention, clarity, and confidence into your riding—both in and out of the saddle. They’re not meant to overwhelm or push you to rush progress. Instead, they invite you to slow down, notice more, and build skills the same way great horsemanship is built: thoughtfully, consistently, and with purpose.
Each guide focuses on a specific theme or season of riding and is meant to be used alongside your lessons, barn time, or independent practice. Whether you’re riding weekly, working mostly from the ground, or simply wanting to deepen your connection with your horse, these guides offer structure without pressure and reflection without rigidity.
The guides follow a simple, repeatable format so you always know what to expect. You’ll find clear explanations of each topic, practical ways to practice at the barn, what to notice or feel as you work, pro tips for refinement, and reflection prompts to help you connect the physical skills to your mindset as a rider. Many riders choose to keep a dedicated riding journal to write through the questions and track their growth over time.
Topics vary throughout the year and may include riding refinement (such as quiet hands, balance, and trot work), groundwork and communication, leading and handling skills, barn and tack care, horse comfort and environment, confidence building, and developing awareness and leadership with your horse. Some guides lean more technical, others more reflective—but all are rooted in building a strong, honest partnership.
These Rider Guides are here to support you between lessons, deepen your understanding, and help you show up at the barn with intention. Progress doesn’t come from doing more—it comes from doing the small things well, over and over again. These guides are your companion for that kind of growth.
