Horseback Riding Club Membership

*Once you join the membership, make sure to email Amanda at whitmirefamilyranch@gmail.com to schedule your weekly day/time for riding sessions.

Monthly Membership Overview

Cost: $280/month

Includes: 4 riding sessions per month (booked through our online calendar)

Availability: Limited to 20 membership spots

In our riding club, members reserve their sessions on the same day and time each week and are billed monthly for 4 sessions. Once you join, your spot is held and you will discuss with Amanda to reserve your chosen day and time each week. Your card will be billed automatically on the same day each month, and you can manage all sessions right inside your member portal.

You’ll be emailed access to the portal, and within it you’ll find the calendar link where you can book your 4 sessions included with your membership. You’ll receive a confirmation email for sessions booked and a 24-hour reminder before each session. There is even an easy way to click “recurring” so that your sessions for the season are reserved the same day/time all at once!

Sessions are 1 hour, but may run a few minutes longer. If you arrive later than 15 minutes without notice, your session is subject to being forfeited and considered used within the membership. Furthermore, if you arrive late we cannot add time to your session. There is no need to arrive earlier than the posted session time.

Rider Requirements

All riders must bring:

-Long pants (can be jeans, breeches or athletic material - shorts and crop tops not allowed)

-Boots with a small heel (an Amazon search of “horse riding boots” will show you plenty of options) NO tennis shoes.

-Your own properly fitted riding helmet. Helmets are required; extras are available if you forget your own. (an Amazon search of “horse riding helmet” will show you plenty of options, some have a dial in the back to adjust the sizing)

-Water bottle (please no glass!)

Location & Safety

You can become a member from anywhere in the U.S.! If you’re not in Las Vegas, your sessions will be virtual. Email me about setting up your tech for those sessions. It’s easy and fun and almost as if I’m right there in the arena with you!

If you’re a member who doesn’t own their own horse, your sessions will be held at Dream Big Darlin’ Stables (DBDS).

(The exact address is provided within the membership portal for privacy and safety.)

Please drive slowly, and note that restroom facilities are limited to a portable “camping style” option.

All riders must sign a safety waiver before participating. This is a barn - while our horses are very kind and well trained, if you stay long enough you will get bitten/kicked/stepped on/fall off. This is a sport, and no sport comes without its own risks.

Weather & Rainy-Day Learning

If weather conditions make riding unsafe, we’ll move into the tack room for a hands-on, educational “rainy day” session. This is up to trainer discretion. You’ll learn first aid for horses, refinement on riding posture, Quine anatomy, horse behavior, etc. — because great riders are made both in and out of the saddle. 10% of being in equestrian is spent in the saddle, the other 90% is at the barn.

Cancellation Policy

-48-hour cancellation notice is required.

-Missed sessions or late cancellations result in a used session.

-No-call, no-shows may forfeit your membership spot.

Consistency & Commitment

I ask that you commit to a full season of 3 months, although you can drop out each 30 day billing period if you need to, no notice required. If you drop out before the month and/or 4 sessions is completed you will not receive a refund for any unused sessions.

If you plan to miss a ride, if it is with 48 hours’ notice, you can reschedule within the same month — or use any “fifth week” in that month as your makeup. Sessions do not carry over to the next month whatsoever.

Community & Support

Members age 18+ can join our private Facebook group where we share updates, videos, and encouragement throughout the month. It’s a space to ask questions, celebrate progress, and connect with fellow horse lovers. The link to the group is in the membership portal.

Monthly Learning Guide

Each month in the portal, you’ll receive a visual PDF guide to help you stay on track with what we’re learning in the arena — from groundwork skills to balance, communication, and confidence-building exercises.

Barnyard Rules & Respect

This is a family-friendly, respectful barn environment. You are welcome to bring other kids or family members to the lesson to watch quietly. We ask that you have no more than 4 people total in your party on-site and that no one touches or disturbs animals that we are not working with in our session.

-Visitors are always welcome, but please keep an eye on your friends. While our horses are kind, please understand that they are animals, and wandering visitors will not be allowed.

-Please keep your visitors out of the arena area during lessons- visitors may sit outside the arena to watch.

-While we love having parents present, please avoid distracting the riders during the lesson. Please do not enter the rings unless there is an emergency. Sideline coaching will not be tolerated.

-Be kind to the horses. We do not allow any physical correction to the horses without explicit instruction from the instructor.

-Be kind to others. This barn will tolerate no drama, or unfriendly competition.

-Please clean up after yourself, and your horse. Hose or sweep out wash racks when you are done, throw away your trash, pick up your belongings, and pick up your horses' poop. Please do not leave your tack in the wash rack area.
-Dogs are NOT allowed on property.

-Do NOT chase dogs, cats, chickens or any other animal you see! If they do not wish to be petted, please leave them alone.

-No running or yelling- this is a barn, not a playground.
